Kori Nagel, Women's Track and Field

Kori Nagel was named the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Women's Field Athlete of the Week on January 24. Nagel set a new weight throw record and captured a pair of individual title in the NCAA Division II meet, Mike Thorson Open hosted by the University of Mary (N.D.).  She also set a pair of NAIA ‘A’ automatic national qualifying marks in weight throw and shot put.  Nagel hit 17.82 meters (58 feet, 5.75 inches) to win the weight throw title.  She added 14.82 meters mark in the shot put (48 feet, 7.5 inches).  Nagel is currently second in the NAIA in shot put and fourth in the weight throw.
