DICKINSON, N.D. — Dickinson State claimed a commanding victory over the University of Jamestown in the Blue Hawks home opener on Sunday, securing wins in seven of 10 weight classes.
Jennifer Verdin (103), Jenna Gerhardt (110), Mikayla Jardine (124), and Jessica Gubler (138) each earned forfeit victories for the Blue Hawks. Larhae Whaley (117) and Jumoke Adekoye (131) dominated with falls, pinning their opponents in just 30 and 57 seconds, respectively. Kiley Hubby (180) added another fall for DSU, defeating Celia Jaeger in 1:14.
Jamestown's standout performances came from Ann Meiman (145), who earned a technical fall over Kaytlin McAnelly (17-2, 3:05), and Allyssa Johnson (160), who secured a technical fall over Lena-Mae Nelson (15-0, 0:42). Grace Todhunter (207) closed the dual with a pin over Hayla Hoffman in 1:45.
