Blue Hawks drop a pair of matches to nationally ranked foes

Ottawa, Kan. – Dickinson State (3-7, 0-0) got back into action after a week off on Friday, dropping a pair of games to #6 Oklahoma Wesleyan and #25 McPherson by identical 3-0 scores.

Game One – OWU 3 DSU 0

The Blue Hawks were shut down by a powerful #6 Oklahoma Wesleyan team in the first game of the day, falling in straight sets (25-8, 25-10, 25-11).

McKenzie Moser led the Blue Hawks with five kills and Aubrey Allison led the defense with 8 digs.

Game Two – MC 3 DSU 0

The challenge didn't get any easier in game two as DSU was turned away by #25 McPherson College to wrap up the Friday slate. MC took the match in straight sets (25-10, 25-15, 25-15).

Moser again led the Blue Hawks in kills, with 11, while Rylee Kogolshak dished 18 assists in the loss. Moser added 9 digs, narrowly missing out on a double-double.
