Blue Hawks season comes to a close with five set loss at Waldorf

FOREST CITY, Iowa – With their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, Dickinson State roared back from a 2-0 match deficit to force a fifth set but came up just short as Waldorf University took the fifth set 15-13, and the match 3-2. With the loss the Blue Hawks season officially comes to an end after losing the secondary tiebreaker with Waldorf.

McKenzie Moser had a monster game for the Blue Hawks in her final match of her junior season, hammering 20 kills and collecting 19 digs. Senior Lexi Puev ended her career on a high note, gathering 10 kills as the only other Blue Hawk in double figures.

Fellow seniors Bailey Pearcy (47 assists and 8 digs) and Brooklyn Wyllie (8 kills) ended their careers with solid performances as well. Taylor Fischer led DSU on defense with 24 digs to go along with six assists.
