Blue Hawks fall to Dakota State in Madison

MADISON, S.D. – Dickinson State threatened late in the second set but fell, 3-0, to Dakota State University on Friday evening.

After dropping the first set 25-5, the Blue Hawks held an early 5-4 lead in the second set after a Trojan service error. Dakota State went on a 5-1 run to take a 9-6 lead, but DSU responded with a quick 3-0 run of their own to tie the set at 9-9. Dakota State held the lead the rest of the way however, as the Blue Hawks got to within two at 24-22 on a kill by Abigail Suiter but no closer.

The third set was all Trojans as DaSU closed the match with a 25-10 win.

McKenzie Moser led the Blue Hawks with seven kills and added 10 digs.
