Blue Hawks fall to Presentation in season finale

DICKINSON, N.D. - Mackenna Johnson collected a double-double in her final game as a Blue Hawk with 12 kills and 12 digs, but Dickinson State was unable to get past Presentation College, falling 3-1 (21-25, 27-25, 25-18, 25-20) in Scott Gym on Saturday afternoon.

DSU took the first set 25-21, getting four kills from McKenzie Moser and five from Johnson, to start their final game of the season on the right note. Eight Saint service errors in the set helped the Blue Hawk cause, as they hit only .196 for the set.

Unfortunately, DSU was held to just .093 hitting for the game as the Saints took the next three sets to win the match and end the Blue Hawk's season.

Moser led Dickinson State with 16 kills, Madi Wahl had 10, and Brooklyn Wyllie chipped in eight to lead DSU. Haydin Henschel had four kills and 18 digs for Dickinson State while Bailey Pearcy had 44 assists and four aces in her final match, and fellow senior Jenna Swope added 18 digs.
