Blue Hawks fall to Bruins in home opener

DICKINSON, ND - The Dickinson State volleyball team (2-15, 0-4 NSAA) fell in straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-23) to Bellevue University (13-5, 4-0 NSAA) in their home opener at Scott Gymnasium on Friday night.

Katie Collum had 8 kills and Brooklyn Wyllie had 7 on .308 attack percentage, but it wasn't enough for the Blue Hawks to get past the #15 Bruins on Friday. Madi Wahl and Mackenna Johnson added 6 kills, and McKenzie Moser added 5 to help the Blue Hawk attack. Bailey Pearcy had 31 assists and 8 digs and Moser added 8 digs of her own to lead DSU on the defensive side.

Overall, the Bruins outhit the Blue Hawks .337 to .097. BU had seven blocks to DSU's four and Dickinson State had three aces while Bellevue had two.
