Nagel named NSAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week

DICKINSON - Kori Nagel has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the NSAA announced Tuesday.

Nagel won the shot-put title in the Mike Thorson Open for Dickinson State on Saturday, January 13 in Bismarck, N.D. She tossed 13.54 meters (44 feet, 5.25 inches) in the shot-put event. Nagel added a weight throw toss of 15.91 meters (52 feet, 2.5 inches) to place second. Her weight throw toss is her personal record and hit the NAIA 'B' provisional qualifying standard.

Nagel is the first Blue Hawks track or field athlete to recieve a weekly award this season.
