Wrzesinski named Midwest Region Track Athlete of the year, Blue Hawks sweep NSAA postseason awards

DICKINSON – Wrenzi Wrzesinski was named the Midwest Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday. Her award caps an amazing run by the DSU Indoor Track teams as the Blue Hawks gathered 37 different All-Conference awards at the NSAA Conference Championships. In addition to the 37 awards, Dickinson State also swept the postseason honors with Kaitlyn McColly being named NSAA Most Valuable Field Athlete, Wrzesinski was named NSAA Most Valuable Track Athlete and shared the title of NSAA Most Valuable Athlete with teammate Kori Nagel. Shayne Wittkopp was named NSAA Coach of the Year after leading the Blue Hawk women to their fifth consecutive North Star Indoor title.
