Jamestown, N.D. – Dickinson State fell 90-74 to Jamestown in the North Star Athletic Association quarterfinals Wednesday night in Jamestown.

Kayden Steele led Dickinson State with 18 points, connecting on 7-of-18 shots, including three from beyond the arc. She also grabbed five rebounds and had a steal in 31 minutes. Samantha Oase contributed with a solid performance in the post, scoring eight points on 3-of-6 shooting while pulling down four rebounds and blocking a shot.

Tinley Pierson added eight points and five rebounds, making both of her free throw attempts. Tayte Kohn played 25 minutes and finished with five points, three rebounds, and three assists. Katherine Fox was efficient from the field, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

The Blue Hawks shot 47.5% from the field and 35.7% from three-point range but struggled to contain Jamestown's perimeter attack. The Jimmies hit 14 three-pointers and shot 50.8% overall. Jamestown's Kate Cordes led all scorers with 36 points, making six threes and all four of her free throws.

Dickinson State started strong, trailing by just one after the first quarter, but Jamestown gained control in the second, outscoring the Blue Hawks 27-18. Despite a competitive second half, the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

The Blue Hawks finished with a 44-30 advantage in points in the paint but were out-rebounded 37-29. Dickinson State also forced 12 turnovers but couldn't capitalize enough on the offensive end.

The loss ends Dickinson State's season with an 8-19 record. The five seniors—Oase, Steele, Pierson, Kohn, and Fox—leave the program having made a lasting impact, with their leadership evident in their final game.
