Bellevue, Neb. – Dickinson State struggled to find offensive consistency in their matchup against Bellevue University, falling 83-51 on the road at the Lozier Athletic Center. Despite a solid defensive start, the Blue Hawks were unable to keep pace with the Bruins' efficient shooting and depth.

Bellevue jumped to an early 17-8 lead in the first quarter, taking advantage of Dickinson State's cold start from the field. The Blue Hawks shot just 20% in the opening period and were unable to connect on any of their two three-point attempts. Anhelica Shanrock led the way early with a layup and free throw, finishing the quarter with three points.

The second quarter didn't go much better offensively for Dickinson State, as they posted 12 points on 26.7% shooting. Katherine Fox and Shanrock contributed key baskets, but Bellevue extended its lead to 39-20 at halftime, aided by seven three-pointers and 40% shooting in the first half.

The Blue Hawks found some rhythm in the third quarter, posting their best offensive frame with 21 points. Fox went 4-for-4 from the field, including a three-pointer, to lead the charge. Shanrock and Samantha Oase also chipped in with baskets as the team shot 50% in the period. However, Bellevue matched the Hawks with 21 points of their own, to maintain their lead.

Shanrock paced Dickinson State with 15 points and six rebounds, while Fox added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Oase controlled the boards with eight rebounds and contributed nine points. Overall, the Blue Hawks shot 30.5% from the field and struggled from beyond the arc, converting only four of 18 attempts.

Bellevue, meanwhile, capitalized on 20 assists and strong performances from starters Gabby Moore and Ashtyn Arnold, who combined for 35 points. The Bruins shot 47.7% as a team and out-rebounded the Blue Hawks 46-36. They also dominated points in the paint, 40-22.

The loss drops Dickinson State to 7-12 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
