Fayette, Mo. – Dickinson State had their five-game postseason winning streak snapped as they fell to No. 3, and top-seeded, Central Methodist University, 12-0 in five innings, on Tuesday morning. The Blue Hawks now move on to play Mid-America Christian in an elimination game this afternoon, a rematch of the first game of the tournament.
CMU dominated in all facets of the game, as Cassy Loa was the only batter to reach base against starting pitcher Jordyn Ball, doing so on a walk in the fourth inning. Ball was able to force Dallis Mitchell to hit into a double play as the next batter, erasing the threat and ensuring that she would only have to face the minimum 15 batters in the game.
