Dickinson, N.D. – Dickinson State had two members named to the North Star Athletic Association All-Conference teams, with Dallis Mitchell receiving First Team honors and Cassy Loa landing on the Second Team. Alexa Kappel was named the Champion of Character recipient for the Blue Hawks.
Mitchell, a senior from Phoenix, Arizona, led the Blue Hawks with a .358 average with 9 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 home runs. She also paced DSU in the circle, throwing a team-high 94.2 innings and collecting a 10-5 record with a 3.85 ERA. She struck out 63 batters and allowed just 52 earned runs for the season.
Loa, a senior from San Diego, California, batted .308 in her lone year as a Blue Hawk after coming over from Presentation College. She stole 23 bases for the year and was caught just once. She had a .405 on base percentage and scored a team-high 33 runs for the season.
