Blue Hawks run win streak to ten games, end regular season with blowout victory over Waldorf

FOREST CITY, Iowa – Weather cancelled game four, but not before Dickinson State ran their winning streak to 10 games to finish the regular season with a 21-3 dominating victory over Waldorf University.

The Blue Hawks will be the third seed in the NSAA Conference Tournament next weekend at Bravera Field. They will take on sixth seed Presentation in the first round.

DSU scored in every inning as they scored 21 runs on 21 hits in just five innings of play. Rhea Paiva, Kara Conway, Ari Martinez, Hailey Enriquez, Dallis Mitchell, and Madeline Peralta all had multiple hits in the game for the Blue Hawks, who jumped out to a 14-1 second inning lead and never looked back.

Martinez, Peralta, Mitchell, and Alexa Kappel all doubled for the Blue Hawks and Peralta drove the game's only home run with a first inning grand slam. Kappel shined in the circle again, going all five innings and allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out 6 and walking three.
