MARSHALL, Mo. – The Dickinson State men's wrestling team finished 16th out of 45 schools at the Missouri Valley College Invitational over the weekend. The MVC Invite is one of the largest NAIA wrestling tournaments in the nation and is often an important test for Blue Hawk wrestlers.

"Our guys wrestled well against great competition and did a great job of making adjustments throughout the day and even mid-matches," said head coach Justin Schlecht. "This is a tough tournament, and we had some great opportunities to compete with a few of our conference foes. You could call this tournament one step down from the national tournament."

The Blue Hawks earned a 27-22 overall record on the tournament including eight pins. Six wrestlers reached at least the round of 16, with Konrich Speelmon leading the way with an 8th place finish at 197 pounds.
