Men's track takes victory in first outdoor meet of the season

BILLINGS, Mont. – Due to the weather in the midwest region, the Dickinson State men's track team had not had an outdoor meet until this weekend. It didn't matter much, as they cruised to a first place finish at the Yellow Jacket/Battlin' Bears Open in Billings, Montana over the weekend. The Blue Hawks 136 points was 26.5 points ahead of second place Montana State University-Billings.
INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS - FULL RESULTS
- Martin Farver won the 200 meters with a time of 22.03 and took second place in the 100 meters
- The 4x400 relay team of Quentin Lewis, Martin Farver, Kaholo Toaves, and Mustafa Taylor took first place with a time of 3:27.8
- Tyce Dahlberg finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.92m
- Galen Brantley III won the shot put with a throw of 15.98m, a mark that qualifies him for the national meet
- Dylan Dahlgren took second in the hammer throw with a mark with 47.8m
