Blue Hawks open spring season at DWU Spring Invite

Mitchell, S.D. – Dickinson State golf headed to South Dakota for the Dakota Wesleyan Spring Invite for their first competition of the spring season. The men finished in third place, while the women came in fourth.

Bryce Reed led the way for the men with a second-place overall finish. He shot a +4, 76, on day one before rebounding on day two with a phenomenal -4, 68, to earn a tie low-round honors with the tournament champion Jackson Worner of Jamestown.

Blake Barner finished in 11th place at +8, while Sean Seefeld (T17), Tyus Thomas (T17), and Jack Solberg (20) made it five Blue Hawks in the top 20.

Elly LeBlanc led the Blue Hawk women with a 10th place finish, shooting a first round 86 and a second round 87. Cheyenne Jacobs (T14) and Brooklyn Materi (17) both finished in the top 20 for DSU, while Camryn Collins (27) and Shantel Bertelsen (29) made it five in the top 30.

The Blue Hawks will return to action next Monday in the DSU Invitational at Heart River Golf Course in Dickinson.
