SAM MILANOVICH CLASSIC
Dickinson State is set to make their Scott Gym debut this weekend as they host the 2024 Coca-Cola Sam Milanovich Classic. The Blue Hawks will take on a pair of Frontier Conference opponents in Rocky Mountain and Montana State-Northern on Friday and Saturday evening. Dickinson State dropped both games at last year's Classic, falling to RMC in overtime in game one before dropping game two to Montana Western. In 2022, however, the Blue Hawks swept those same two opponents.

THE SERIES…
vs RMC: RMC leads 18-9, 8-4 in Dickinson
Last: DSU 66-56 (12/30/23 in Billings) / Streak: DSU 1
Notes: The teams split the season series last year with both teams winning on the road. RMC won 107-106 in overtime at the 2023 Sam Milanovich Classic while DSU returned the favor with a 66-56 win at the Green and Gold Classic in Billings. DSU has won three of the last four meetings.

vs MSUN: MSUN leads 14-3, 4-1 in Dickinson
Last: DSU 79-69 (11/18/24 in Havre) / Streak: DSU 1
Notes: DSU won for just the second time in Havre earlier this season, but the Blue Hawks have not won in Dickinson since 2013. MSUN has won eight of the last 10 matchups.

LAST TIME OUT
Dickinson State fell to Montana Western, 75-68, on the road in their lone game last week. John Evans led the Blue Hawks with 22 points, while Cordell Stinson chipped in 12, but DSU could not maintain their halftime advantage as the Bulldogs outscored DSU by 21 in the final 20 minutes. They are now 1-1 to start their five-game swing through Frontier Conference opponents.
