VICTORY LAP: Having clinched the NSAA regular season title for the ninth consecutive year last weekend against Valley City State, DSU will head to Madison, S.D. with a playoff berth wrapped up … they are, however, playing to impress the new Selection Committee to earn a home playoff game for the first time since the run began … the Blue Hawks have dominated NSAA play over the last four seasons, winning 32 consecutive games and have a chance to make it 33 against last place Dakota State on Saturday … after sweeping the NSAA weekly awards once again, it is clear that this Dickinson State team has the talent to make some noise in the postseason, and a home game to kick it off could make a huge difference
THE SERIES...
vs DaSU: DSU leads 24-2
Last: DSU 40-14 (10/7/23 in Dickinson) / Streak: DSU 10
Notes: Dickinson State has dominated the matchup between the teams, winning 24 of the 26 games … the last Dakota State win came in 2015, when the Trojans won 54-21 in Madison
SCOUTING THE TROJANS: Dakota State picked up their first NSAA win last week when they defeated Mayville State 19-14 in Madison … the Trojans have struggled to score all season, scoring 20 points just once, in a 35-20 loss at Waldorf in week 3
