Bio

Dakia is entering her fourth year as a coach and third year as a competitive cheer coach at Dickinson State University. 

Dakia has coached cheerleading at Dickinson High School as an assistant since 2016. She also was staff for NCA for three summers where she was able to expand her knowledge and expertise in coaching cheer. Dakia brings 10 years of coaching experience to the DSU cheer team. 

Before Dickinson State, Dakia attended school at South Dakota State University where she cheered for the Jackrabbits and learned about collegiate presence and college level skills.  

Dakia has assisted the Blue Hawk cheer team through two competitive seasons and helped bring home a fourth-place trophy at the 2022 NAIA Cheer Nationals and is excited to see how far the team will go this year.
