Five Blue Hawks earn All-American honors in cheer

Dickinson, N.D. – Dickinson State cheer added to an already great season, as five Blue Hawks were named All-American by the NAIA this week.

Brooklyn Deguzman and Teandra Schneider were name First-Team All-American, Damien Holmes received Second Team honors, while Dalton Herbst and Gustav Kitzan gathered Third Team awards.

With only 11 athletes competing for DSU at the National Championships, the Blue Hawks nearly landed 50 percent of their line up on the All-American teams. All five were first time recipients as they led Dickinson State to a fifth-place finish at the national tournament.
