Bio

Sagan Osborne enters his fourth season coaching for the Blue Hawks. He will work primarily with the infield and hitters.

In 2021-2022 Sagan worked with an offense that finished in the top 3 for Batting Average, On Base Percentage, and Slugging Percentage in the North Star Athletic Association.

Sagan graduated from Dickinson State with a degree in Sports Management after playing two seasons with the Blue Hawks. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Athletic Educational Leadership at DSU. Sagan was a 2-time All-Conference player during his time at Dickinson State. He earned Honorable Mention honors his junior year before batting .401 with 13 HR, 13 2B, and 56 RBI his senior season earning him First Team All-Conference honors at third base. He was voted Team MVP by his peers both seasons after leading the team to consecutive NSAA Conference tournament appearances.

Prior to his time at Dickinson State, Sagan spent 2 years at NCAA Division I Utah Valley University, where he was selected as Great West Conference Preseason Freshman of the Year and Preseason Second Team All-Conference Infield. He also spent one season at Treasure Valley Community College.

Sagan played his high school ball at Dimond High School in Anchorage, AK where he earned All-Conference and All-State honors his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. He also played basketball and won a state championship his senior year. Sagan is the son of Staci and Rusty Osborne. He has four younger siblings Austin, Kylan, Jalyn, and Kadyn.

Sagan currently resides in Dickinson with his wife, Steph, and their son, Corbin.
