Blue Hawks Bound for Lewiston: Dickinson State Baseball Set for NAIA Opening Round

DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State baseball is headed to the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round, presented by Avista, with postseason play set to begin Monday, May 12, at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho.

The Blue Hawks, earning the No. 5 seed in the Lewiston bracket, will open tournament play against No. 4 seed Oregon Tech at 11 a.m. (PT) on Monday. The winner of that game advances to face top-seeded and defending national champion Hope International (Calif.) at 6 p.m. later that day.

Dickinson State is making its return to the national stage after a strong campaign in the North Star Athletic Association. The Blue Hawks will join a highly competitive five-team field that includes three teams receiving votes or ranked in the latest NAIA national poll.

No. 22 Wayland Baptist (Texas) is seeded second, host and (RV) Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) holds the No. 3 seed, and (RV) Oregon Tech slots in at No. 4.

The Opening Round format is double elimination, with games running through Thursday, May 15. The winner of the bracket will advance to the Avista NAIA World Series, also held in Lewiston.

Fans can follow the Blue Hawks throughout the tournament via live stream and live stats.
