Bio

Tim Kreidt is in his 20th year as DSU’s head athletic trainer. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at the University of North Dakota and a Master of Science degree in Sports Management at St. Cloud State University. 

Prior to Dickinson State University, Kreidt worked for St. John’s University and MedCenter One Health Systems.  Kreidt has extensive athletic training experience, having worked with athletes in every major sport in addition to professional rodeo and semi-professional football. 

On January 19th 2019, as the Blue Hawk Women’s Basketball team was warming up for their game against Mayville State University, Tim did something every Athletic Trainer hopes they never have to do… save a life. A fan collapsed behind the scorers table losing consciousness and undergoing cardiac arrest. Tim began CPR will assistance from others while having to use an AED device until Emergency Medical Technicians arrived. The fan regained consciousness, was transported to the hospital and lived due to Tim’s courageous and fast actions during the situation. Tim was presented the DSU Blue Hawk Hero Award for his heroic actions.

Kreidt resides North of Dickinson with his wife Amy and three children Jevon, Claire and Anna.
