2024 Blue Hawk Booster Club Award winners announced

DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State Athletics announced the 2024 Blue Hawk Booster Club award winners on Monday, with Duane Monlux, Doug Pasicznyk, and Brian Zubke being honored this year. Monlux will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award, Pasicznyk will receive the Honorary Letterman Award, and Zubke will be honored with the Loyalty Award.

"We are excited to recognize these outstanding alumni and supporters of Dickinson State," said athletic director Pete Stanton. "We have been able to have the success we have had due to these three individuals and many more. We are grateful for their support and are honored to recognize them on this well-deserved award.”

The award winners will be honored at halftime of the Blue Hawk football game against Dakota State on November 16th, and at the Dickinson Eagles Club starting at 5:00 pm that night.

Monlux completed his 14th season as head baseball coach at Bellevue University in 2024, achieving a 579-213-3 (.730) record with the Bruins. With an overall career record of 811-380-5 (.680) across 23 seasons, he has led BU to more wins over the past 14 years than any other Nebraska college team. At BU, Monlux’s achievements include four Avista-NAIA World Series berths, 12 straight NAIA National Championship Opening Round appearances, eight conference titles, and seven conference tournament championships. His teams earned six ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards, including the last five consecutive seasons (2020-2024). Currently, he ranks 12th among active NAIA coaches in career wins. Previously, Monlux coached nine seasons at Dickinson State University, compiling a 232-167-2 (.581) record and securing three DAC regular-season and tournament titles. A native of Gillette, Wyo., he and his wife, Roxi, have two children, Easton (17) and Emree (15).

Pasicznyk has over 32 years of experience working and managing in the food and beverage world. Doug's career started in the back of house at the Roughrider Hotel in Medora, ND in 1993. From there he went on to chain restaurants in North Dakota and Michigan. At the age of 21 he began bartending in Michigan and also started a ten-year career with Coca Cola Enterprise in Auburn Hills, MI. In 2007 Douglas returned to ND, Rejoining the Theodore Rosevelt Foundation in a managerial position for 3 years, eventually taking a management position at Army's West Sports Bar where he stayed for ten-years. In 2017 he became the General Manager & Gaming Manager of the Dickinson Eagles Club where he remains today. Though his work at the Eagles, Doug has been part of several fundraising efforts for individuals, the Dickinson Roughrider Commission, Make A Wish and Dickinson State University along with many more.

Married to Carrie Zubke, with two children, Chris and Jenna, Zubke is a former quarterback for the DSU football team (1986-1990) and a dedicated supporter of Blue Hawk athletics. After 27 years as an Account Representative in Western North Dakota with Johnson Brothers Liquor Company, he transitioned to Sysco Foods in 2019, where he currently serves as a Sales Consultant. He enjoys fishing and relaxing at Mossett Bay on Lake Sakakawea during the summer and vacationing in Arizona during the winter. An active board member of the Blue Hawk Booster Board for 20 years and the Touchdown Club for 8 years, he also takes pride in supporting his daughter's volleyball and basketball pursuits at DHS. His family remains deeply involved with Dickinson State University and Blue Hawk athletics.
